E365> Motocross - Thursday November 09 2006
E365 -- When the 2006-07 Ampd Mobile World Supercross GP season kicks off at Torontos Rogers Centre, the circuits top riders, Suzukis Ricky Carmichael and Yamahas Chad Reed, will help raise money for research at the world-renowned Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto through MX for Children. In support of these charity and fundraising efforts, the racers will visit the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto Thursday, November 30 at 1:00 p.m. EST. During the visit, the racers will participate in a press conference and take part in a personal VIP meet and greet with the kids.
MX for Children has set a fundraising goal of $50,000 that will be used for research for hydrocephalus the #1 cause of brain surgery in kids. Ampd Mobile World Supercross GP is sponsoring the Inside Line Pledge Drive. The Inside Line Experience rewards the top 10 individual fundraisers with a VIP meet and greet with Carmichael and Reed, a tour of factory rigs, a walk the track and premium seating. Considered the quintessential all-access pass, these top fundraisers will enjoy the ultimate supercross fan experience where they actually share one-on-one time with the heroes of Ampd Mobile World Supercross GP.
As we enter our second year of implementing the Inside Line Experience, I am pleased with the support from everyone involved, said Paul Gross, founder of MX for Children. With the teams and their riders, along with our other partners in this venture, it gives us great pleasure to showcase a world-class event and a platform to give back to the hospital.
To be eligible for the Inside Line Experience, fans must submit entry forms and donations by Tuesday, November 21, 2006.
We are happy to align Ampd Mobile Supercross with such a positive organization, said Todd Jendro, senior director of supercross, Live Nation. We are very grateful that Ricky and Chad are giving their time to such a worthy charity.
The first-ever Inside Line Experience took place last season at the Seattle stop of Ampd Mobile World Supercross GP, where Team Yamaha and Team Suzuki helped raise $40,000. Carmichael, Reed and their respective teammates visited Childrens Hospital in Seattle for a private meet and greet with top fundraisers and kids in the hospitals cancer ward.

Last year I really enjoyed this event in Seattle, and I am proud to be a part of it in Toronto, said Reed. The fans that helped raise money for the charity were so excited to attend the meet and greet, but, actually, they were the real stars for working so hard to support a great cause.
Carmichael, the all-time winningest motocross racer, also enjoyed being a part of the Inside Line Experience.
We are very fortunate to do what we do for a living, and its important for us to give back through our off-track efforts, said Carmichael. Im glad to see the Inside Line Experience expanding into Toronto. Its a great way to kick off the season and an awesome opportunity to put a smile on these kids faces.
