British Kitesurfers: Are These Guys Hard Or What
E365> Kitesurfing - Monday September 10 2007
E365 -- We had to delete about three pages of media-sponsored press stuff at the top of the letter we received from these guys, but here it is: details for the one, the only, the inimitable British Kitesurfing Association! Round Six hits Littlehampton next week.
What: British Kitesurfing Champs, Round Six
When: September 14-16
Where: Littlehampton, UK
Home crowd hero Toby Raw will be seeking to impress the chicks on the beach, because he lives there.
The penultimate round of the contest will also see Sam Light, British Champ Lewis Crathern Jimmy Lewis, Robin Snuggs & Denzil Williams.
Hannah Whiteley s win in the Ladies Amateur competition at Aberdeen now puts her in joint 1st place with Rebecca Morris. Both girls have competed in 4 rounds of the championships and have the championship title within their grasps.
In the Ladies Pro competition, Johara Sykes Davis, sponsored by, Flexifoil, Jimmy Lewis, Turbulence & Protest, will be riding hard to keep hold of her overall lead, but this may prove difficult, as after her win at round 4 in Aberdeen, Helen Thompson, sponsored by North, Xcel & Sombrio, will be looking to close the 260 point gap that now separates them.
The Amateur Mens category is also very close; Dan Gallemore currently leads with 3132 points, with Ned Taylor on 2932 and Rhys Jones with 2802. With a surprise win at Aberdeen, newcomer Luke Whiteside, may well upset a few plans! Then again, he may not, so we'll have to catch the report on Extreme365.com to know.
The West Sussex X-treme Youth Games 2007 and the VW Camper Van rally will be running alongside the event. Score. Three for the price of one.
