KiteXtreme Brazil 2007: Final Day Report
E365> Kitesurfing - Tuesday September 25 2007
E365 -- So it looks as though nobody could beat the top dog of kitesurfing on the fifth and final day of KiteXtreme Brazil 2007, one of the sickest comps to hit the country famed for its pubic haircut. That aside, catch the rundown on how UK Rider Aaron Hadlow dominated everyone.

What: KiteXtreme Brazil 2007
When: 17-23 September, 2007
Where: Piauí, Brazil
This was the second last stop of the 2007 PKRA World Tour, and it killed. We're talking sunny weather, hot chicks and Big Air/Best Trick from the boys and girls.
Now remember, these kites are around 9 metres in length (that's 29 feet, America and Britain -- catch up, please). So you're bound to get some serious air time. The world record for air time, by the way, is 39 seconds.
The H2O Audio Most Improved Rider award went to Victor Adamo (North, Brazil) and Karolina Winkowska (Naish, Poland).
The story of the day was Helio Cabrinha da Silva (Gokite). This dude lives in the village and who works as a construction worker (making only $10 a day) and does not own kite equipment.
But after work he comes to the beach to borrow equipment so he can train. The week before the PKRA event, Brazil held their National championships and he placed 4th. Here during the PKRA event he was given a wild card entry, which gave him automatic entry and free registration, into the main event without having to qualify. He finished an amazing 13th place. That's the spirit, huh?!
