EA's Skate Wins Best Individual Sports At VGA
E365> Gaming - Tuesday December 11 2007
E365 -- Electronic Arts' 'Skate' took away top honours at this year's Spike Video Game Awards, hosted once again by Samuel L. Jackson.
Stake won the Best Individual Sports Game section of the awards, beating notable contenders like Sega's 'Virtua Tennis 3' and another EA title, 'Tiger Woods 08'.
The big coup, however, was in beating Activision's 'Tony Hawk's Proving Ground'.
The Tony Hawk series of videogames has dominated the skating genre in videogames since the its first iteration in 2000 with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.
We were already going to do a review of 'Skate', but given the circumstances, perhaps we'll do a comparison. Keep an eye peeled!
