X-Fighters 2008 Just Got X-Large!
E365> FMX - Tuesday June 24 2008
E365 -- After a heroic bull fight in Mexico, a hot samba dance in Rio, and a wild rodeo ride in Texas, and a further two big events scheduled for Spain and Germany, the Red Bull X-Fighters series is set to become even bigger in 2008, with a new stop, a new competition format, and the return of Travis Pastrana!
The unparalleled chance and honour to use one of the world's most traditional stadiums just days before its demolition to make way for a new arena was an irresistable opportunity to stage a spectacular additional stop on the freestyle motocross tour.
The Red Bull X-Fighters will celebrate their new grand finale of the series on September 6 in Warsaw, where the historic "Stadion X-lecia" (Stadium of the Decade) will reopen its doors after more than 20 years, before being dismantled and rebuilt in preparation for the upcoming European Football Championships taking place in Poland and the Ukraine in 2012.
35,000 frenetic fans and a completely new Supersession Show ridden by 4 teams and 12 riders, including superstar Travis Pastrana, who will celebrate his comeback on a FMX bike, will represent the final highlight of this year's Tour.
The additional event in Warsaw - where the chamipion will be crowned - has meant that the even in Wuppertal, Germany, will be shifted from July 4 to August 16.
